It’s important for organizations in the humanitarian field to realize that they have to stay on top of their numbers. This knowledge is key because donors will want to make sure that their donations are being used wisely. If financial information is at your fingertips, it becomes easier to assuage or reassure donors. But if you’re not quite sure where the money is going, then donors are going to feel doubts about the effectiveness and efficiency of your operation.

My favourite loyalty cards now are usually those of companies that I think are being environmentally responsible.
